Fellow songstresses will honour soul diva
Joss Stone, Anita Baker, Dreamgirls’ Jennifer Hudson, Dionne Warwick, Yolanda Adams and former American Idol Fantasia have all been lined up to pay tribute to soul diva Patti LaBelle in Los Angeles next month.
The women will honour LaBelle’s lengthy career at ‘An Evening Of Stars’ set to take place at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood.
The event, which is presented by the United Negro College Fund will also see performances by Brian McKnight and Wayne Brady, says the Associated Press.
Smokey Robinson, Stevie Wonder, Aretha Franklin, Quincy Jones and Lou Rawls have all been honoured by the United Negro College Fund in the past.
‘An Evening Of Stars’ will take place on September 13, and tickets will be made available to the general public.
