Former Spacehog man will not front Velvet Revolver
Duff McKagen says 'no' to Royston Langdon
Former Spacehog frontman Royston Langdon will not be the new singer in Velvet Revolver, according to Duff McKagen.
Despite the fact that Langdon did collaborate with the band, who split with singer Scott Weiland earlier this year, McKagen said “I'd have to say no" when asked if he would become the new frontman.
McKagen told Billboard.com the band are taking their time in choosing the newest member of the band, and “just have to make sure it's the right guy."
Meanwhile, he also revealed the band were inspired by their troubles with Scott Weiland, leading to a slew of new material which he describes as “killer”.
When asked if he’d heard any leaked Guns N’ Roses ‘Chinese Democracy’ tracks, McKagen said "I wouldn't even know where to look. Slash said he heard a couple of tunes,” before saying he wished Axl Rose well.
