Queens Of The Stone Age end 'Era Vulgaris' at Reading Festival

Josh Homme and co say Reading crowds are 'best in the world'

Queens Of The Stone Age began putting their 2007 album 'Era Vulgaris' to bed tonight (August 22) at the Reading Festival.

Band leader Jose Homme declared from the stage that tonight's show, along with their appearance at the Leeds Festival tomorrow (August 23), would be the last official outing for the aforementioned album.

Homme described the Reading crowd as the "best in the world" during his band's sunset show on the Main Stage.

"I fucking mean it," he said shortly into the set. "We wanted to end this album here because the Reading audience is the best in the world."

The band played a pared-down version of 2002's 'Go With The Flow', meanwhile, to kick off their set.He went on to lead his band through a set including many numbers from the aforementioned album, as well as big singles 'No One Knows' and 'Sick Sick Sick'.
