Kaiser Chiefs have praised Oasis' Noel Gallagher – for getting them to do all his work for him.

The band say after the Oasis leader attacked them on the radio recently all they've had to do is talk about the Manchester band, a shrewd move by the guitarist.

"He's really clever because every interview I've done in the last week has mentioned Oasis," Kaiser Chiefs' Ricky Wilson told Chris Moyles on BBC Radio 1. "So I'm answering questions about their new record and he ends up in everybody's interviews. He is a publicity machine."

Kaiser Chiefs are set to release their third album 'Off With Their Heads' on October 13, just a week after Oasis return with seventh album 'Dig Out Your Soul' on October 6.

I just dont see Kaiser Chiefs as any kind of threat to oasis. Their debut was not bad but their second album was by no means a Morning Glory. Oasis are on their seventh album and have been together for about 15 years or so. Does anyone expect Kaiser Chiefs to have that kind of longevity ?

ricky wilson has got some way to go before he is able to keep up the banter with a certain Mr gallagher. Don't get me wrong kaiser chiefs are good at what they do but i wouldnt imagine that going loggerheads with an absolute legend is going to do them any favours.

I hope they move one of the albums so they can compete, I'm not a big fan of either but it'd be interesting to see Oasis defending the massive battle of the albums title they won against Blur, Ricky Wilson reckons he is next in line for the best loved band in Britain title (even though most of us realise it's Arctic Monkeys!) so let him have a shot at beating Oasis in chart sales!And let's not forget Country House beat Roll with it so technicaly Blur won!!!

"He's a publicity machine."...and you're just now figuring this out? I love Oasis, and I love how they interview. It should come as no surprise that Oasis occasionally lash out at anyone around them when a camera and mic are put in front of them. It's part of what makes them hilarious to listen to in interviews. The great thing about it, is that they usually back it up with the music. The Robbie Williams thing was a great example. Robbie Williams never became as popular here in the States as Oasis once were, or still are really (if you went to any Oasis gigs on the last tour, you'll know what I mean - they played the largest gigs they've ever played in the US during their most recent tour). Oasis might have big mouths but they can back it up.

country house did beat roll with it, but morning glory clearly won it for oasis. kaiser cheifs really gotta back it up - neither of their albums stand up to def maybe and morning glory in the slightest. until they play a knebworth they should be thankful noel is even acknowledging them, it makes them appear almost on the same level.

I love both Oasis and Kaiser Chiefs. I think it's going to be a great three way tusle with Oasis releasing on the 6th October and Kaiser Chiefs and of coarse Keane releasing a week later, my money's on Oasis, but I'm sure they'll be three album of the year contenders, after that roll on November and the new Killers album.

In a way they are ahead of their time, but only because they are giving you a glimpse of the 2026 Busted reunion tour.One or two decent tunes do not make up for the rest of their shite output, some of their lyrics make Liam's efforts on Little Jame look like Bob Dylan! They probably wouldn't be quite so annoying if he didn't come out with this shite - that said he's probably done it to wind up dickheads like me!

who does'nt noel gallagher slag off! he's an arsehole,needs to learn to shut his gob one day!! fair enuff,oasis are legends and have been around for ages,don't give him the right to slag off bands like the kaiser chiefs!

i know kaiser chiefs are pretty shit (especially now), but he is right about Noel Gallagher. he's trying to pull focus away from the fact his music is the same shit every album.
