Zooey Deschanel and M Ward announce fall US dates

Deschanel also supports Barack Obama at Democratic Convention

Actress Zooey Deschanel and M Ward, the duo known as She And Him, have announced that they will play a handful of US dates on the west coast this autumn.

The band are supporting their debut album 'Volume One', released earlier this year.

They'll kick things off in Los Angeles on November 1 and play shows in San Francisco and Anaheim, California.

The tour dates are:

Los Angeles, CA Wiltern (November 1)
San Francisco, CA Bimbo’s 365 Club (3)
Anaheim, CA House of Blues (5)

Meanwhile, Deschanel who performed last night (August 27) at Unconventional '08, an event in conjunction with the ongoing Democratic National Convention in Denver, spoke out in support of US presidential candidate Barack Obama.

"I don't feel very good about the last eight years," she told the Associated Press. "I feel like we're in a place where we really need — there's a lot of damage that we need to recover from, and we need a very strong and inspirational leader to bring us out of this. It's pretty grim."
