They'll get back together this month

Ben Folds Five are set to reunite for a show, set to take place September 18 in Chapel Hill, NC.

The band are getting back together for the one-off performance in order to raise money for the Operation Smile charity, and will play their last album together ’The Unauthorized Biography of Reinhold Messner’, which was released in 1999.

The show is part of the MySpace ‘Front to Back’ series of events which will see bands perform entire albums.

“Of our three albums, this one brings back the most vivid memories,” said Folds, according to rollingstone.com. “It was actually written to be one song of many movements, which is why there are motifs that appear throughout the album. That should make Reinhold a natural to be played front to back.”

Last month, Folds revealed he released fake versions of six songs online in July, in order to avoid the leak of his new album ’Way To Normal’, set to be released September 30.

Tickets for the special show will go on sale this Monday (September 8).
