Jay-Z has formed a new label and publishing company with Norwegian songwriting/production duo Stargate.
The joint venture will be called StarRoc, and is part of the hip-hop mogul's business venture with LiveNation, reports Billboard.
"The focus is to find new talent and develop artists through mutually beneficial global partnerships which include music distribution, publishing, touring and merchandising," the principals said in a statement.
Stargate have worked with artists including Rihanna, Jennifer Hudson and Ne-Yo.
Jay-Z's new album, 'Blueprint 3', is expected to be released before the end of the year.
