AC/DC extend North American tour into 2009

AC/DC have extended their massive tour of North America into the new year.

The rock veterans have added 16 shows to their 'Black Ice' US and Canadian jaunt, which is set to kick off in Pennsylvania on October 28.

The band will be supporting their new album, also called 'Black Ice', which is due out on October 20. It is the band's first world tour since 2001.

The newly added dates are:

Fort Lauderdale, FL Bank Atlantic Center (December 20)
Tampa, FL St. Pete Times Forum (21)
Cleveland, OH Quicken Loans Arena (January 5)
Pittsburgh, PA Mellon Arena (7)
Toronto, ONT Rogers Centre (9)
Cincinnati, OH U.S. Bank Arena (11)
St. Louis, MO Scottrade Center (13)
Omaha, NE Qwest Center Omaha (15)
Fargo, ND Fargodome (17)
Minneapolis, MN Xcel Energy Center (19)
Kansas City, MO Sprint Center (21)
Dallas, TX American Airlines Center (23)
Tulsa, OK BOK Center (26)
Little Rock, AR ALLTELL Arena (28)
Memphis, TN FedEx Forum (30)
Nashville, TN Sommet Center (31)


The band are expected to announce European, Asian and South American tour dates shortly.
