Beenie Man cleared of tax evasion

Beenie Man has been cleared of tax evasion by a Jamaican judge.

Authorities had claimed that the dancehall star owed close to $1million (£500,000) in overdue taxes.

However, according to the BBC News, the judge ruled that the Grammy winner had not been informed of his rights when auditors made their assessment last year.

As a result, the case was thrown out.
