ABBA man wins tax authority lawsuit

Bjorn Ulvaeus gets millions

ABBA member Bjorn Ulvaeus has won a lawsuit against the Swedish national tax authority.

The deal has garnered the musician approximately 85 million kronor ($12 million).

Ulvaeus' legal advisor told the Associated Press that a court approved his appeal against a decision to increase the amount of his income it considered taxable.

Swedish authorities alleged that song royalty deals Ulvaeus was involved in were shams to shelter them from being taxed as personal income.

The court's decision in Ulvaeus' favour has yielded millions in tax-free income for the pop legend.
