Lil' Wayne becomes father to Dwayne Carter III

Lil’ Wayne celebrated fatherhood again today (October 22), with the birth of a son at Christ Hospital in Cincinnati, OH.

The baby boy has been named Dwayne Carter III, but the identity of his mother remains a mystery, according to tabloid reports.

The rapper recently made headlines as the recipient of a briefcase filled with $1 million dollars for his 26th birthday, a gift from Cash Money Records executive Bryan ‘Baby’ Williams aka Birdman.

Wayne, whose real names is Dwayne Carter Jr. is currently embroiled in a court case involving drugs and firearms, after NYPD officials found a handgun and marijuana on his tour bus.

Police searched the bus in July 2007 after a concert at New York’s Beacon Theatre, after they smelled cannabis coming from the bus. A police officer on the scene said she saw Wayne, whose real name is Dwayne Michael Carter Jr., trying to hide the gun as the bus was searched.

The rapper has pleaded not guilty to criminal possession of a weapon. If convicted he could spend over three years in prison.

The firearm found on the bus was registered to Wayne’s tour manager Cortex Bryant.
