Amy Winehouse was rushed to hospital last night (October 26) after suffering from a suspected chest infection.

According to the Daily Mirror, the singer was taken to the London Clinic when her condition deteriorated after a doctor visited her at her home on Thursday (October 23).

Winehouse's spokesperson told the newspaper that she is expected to return home soon and should recover fully.

In June the star's father Mitch Winehouse said Amy was suffering from lung disease emphysema.

whatawasteoftime, do you ever have a positive comment to make? You are obviously an extremely sad person that trawls through stories on artists that you don't even like, just to leave a sad ass comment like you do. I ain't the biggest Winehouse fan but at least when she dies she will leave her music, which a lot of people do like. What will you leave behind??? Thats right, absolutley nothing!!!! lol

simonpimpernell, I have noticed for some time now the nasty purile comments made by the clearly odious whatawasteoftime. I suspect he is a bit like the fat saddo comic shop owner in the Simpsons, sat there with no friends, banging away at his keyboard. To say that you hope some one, who is clearly in a bad way for whatever reason, should die is beyond disgusting. Shame on you whatawasteoftime.

its just sad to see people bicker on message boards. Obviously they're merely voicing their distaste for the person the article is about, but its never exactly clicked as to why people push their hate for the particular artist to such an extreme. if we were all sitting at a coffee shop you wouldn't come up and say such things. its all a manner of class really. Amy Winehouse is brilliant. She revived a love and respect for old school jazz and motown sounds. Whether it was her or Mark Ronson responsible for that its beside the point. Love her or hate her she brought what many consider america's "classical" music back to the pop charts, and for that she deserves some fucking respect.

actually if she has got emphysema its pretty serious. i mean a chest infection by itself aint fun but not life threatening. if she got emphysema too its pretty bad. although admittedly i aint a doctor. but my granny had it. before she died. not suggesting she'll die. just saying its bad news. if you give a shit about exceptional talent. if not ,go directly to alpha beat fan site x

Yeah whatawasteoftime - if you're leaving comments then you're reading the articles. If you're reading the articles then the story is selling. So maybe you should consider whos fault it is that Amy Winehouse gets so much coverage? Partially yours. Simonpimpernell sums up my loathing for the idiots who have nothing better to do with their time other than comment on bands they hate because their music taste is obviousley oh so very superior.

whatawasteoftime talk about someone with a pointless life. Your life revolves around being a bitter, pathetic loser with nothing better to do but type nasty things about EVERYONE. Wishing death on someone is beyond disgusting and vile. Hopefully karma will give you a taste of your own medicine. Nobody is as sick as you to hope for someone's death, obviously people have wished that on you before. Everyone hopes you stop typing nasty comments on here and get a life.

Everything i read "whatawastoftime" has always got something to say and he makes the comments useless and depressing each time. Do you ever had anything good to say about someone?
