Canadian rockers deliver rousing set
The Dears brought their new lineup to Los Angeles for the first time last night (October 30), performing for a packed house at the Key Club on the Sunset Strip.
The Canadian band, led by Murray Lightburn, focused on material from their recent album 'Missiles' with their new, seven-person lineup.
Lightburn said very little throughout their hour-long set opening for , but emotively belted out the new tunes, switching from electric to acoustic guitar and even a key-tar.
The band kicked off with new album opener 'Disclaimer' and segued into 'Money Babies'. Old favourites 'Lost In The Plot' and '22: The Death Of The Romance' elicited huge cheers from the crowd, as did keyboardist Natalia Yanchak's vocal solos.
"Los Angeles, thank you so so so so much," Lightburn said before saying good night. He gave audience members high-fives as he left the stage.
