Eminem collaborator doesn't want homosexuals to buy album

Gay rights campaigners condemn Trick Trick's comments

Rapper Trick Trick - a long-term collaborator of Eminem - has said he doesn't want any homosexuals buying his new album 'The Villian'.

The MC's lyrics are often perceived as homophobic and now he has revealed he feels society's growing acceptance of homosexuality as an acceptable lifestyle is wrong.

Speaking to Allhiphop.com
he declared: "I'ma go on the record right now with this. Homosexuals are probably not gonna like this album."

Trick Trick added: "I don’t want your faggot money any goddamn way. I don’t like it [homosexuality]. Carry that shit somewhere else."

The tirade didn't end there though and he continued saying he believes homosexuality is wrong.

"It's just that every time that you turn on the TV, that sissy shit is on, and they act like it's fucking okay," he said. "The world is changing for the worst when shit like that happens. And I address that issue. I address it hard as hell."

However Ben Summerskill, chief executive Of Stonewall, a gay equality organisation, told NME.COM: "It's only three months since an 18-year old, Michael Causer, was murdered in a homophobic attack in Liverpool.

"This is exactly the sort of sentiment that inspired his killer. Thankfully, once the new offence of incitement to homophobic hatred is enacted, anyone who sells or distributes this sort of material will be subject to prosecution."

What a loser haha, his country is going down the pan because they illegally invade, blowup and suck dry any country based on false evidence. Not because people are gay.

Why would I want to spend my well earned "faggot" money on such shit music?Pathetic the lengths some people go too when trying to promote music that isnt strong enough to sell copies on its own.

Bitchy McNasty

Nov 12, 2008

OMG I can't believe he said all that. How about none of the rest of us buy his album either? Not that I was going to anyway. Why do people have to hate so much?

I think the rapper doth protest too much! He's hiding something, probably his boyfriend in the closet, literally.

These comments are inexcusable and serve no purpose other than to perpetuate negative attitudes towards gay people, which should be well and truly a thing of the past at this point in time.I am not against individuals having their own opinions on these matters, as extreme and unacceptable as I personally believe they are, but to make a direct and public denouncement of one whole section of society without any particular reason other than to effectively spread hate is of the lowest level of artistic expression I can think of, and this ‘artist’ deserves to be denied the right to have the privilege of working within the music sector based on this appalling statement.I would advise him to deal with his own issues behind these feelings and reassess himself as an individual before ever feeling he has the right to make outdated, damaging and hateful comments such as these again.

"It's only three months since an 18-year old, Michael Causer, was murdered in a homophobic attack in Liverpool..."Trick Trick is a cunt! He should pedal his hatred at the back of his closet, which is so obviously where he is... those who protest the loudest dear!

Though I can't take credit for it, Wikipedia currently reads (as of 12/11/08 15:15 GMT):"Christian Mathis, better known by his stage name Trick-Trick, is a homophobic moron and a twat."

C'mon NME readers...where's the criticism of this c**t? If it had been an indie artist making these comments they'd be lynched. This kinda shit is endemic within hip-hop yet its accepted. Let's have a bit more condemnation of these bigots...and less sniping at bands over petty differences

Just ridiculous to read stuff like that in 2008. Then again that idiot needs to sell records and he gets a ton of publicity (negative or not) with stupid comments like that.

I have never heard Trick trick's music and I don't want to. I am very enocuraged by the comments condemning this homophobic idiot. Homophobia is not acceptable and has to be challenged. As a secondary school teacher I have torn shreds off people for making homophobic and racist remarks. People like Trick Trick have no right to a platform. With freedom -in this case , speech - comes responsibility, not to say stuff that is gratuitously offensive. Most, if not all homophobes are people who think they are gay and are too afraid to come out. The US has an African-American president, and it seems much is possible now. Let's challenge this homophobic arsehole.

I listened to Trick Trick's music earlier today. It's just as imbecilic as his world view would suggest.

He's a big fat pig that needs publicity because his sales suck. If anyone used the N word on him you bet he would be all pissed off, but he is allowed to use fagoot freely - unreal. What fat-blob hypocrite

With opinions like that I wouldn't be surprised if we see the Daily Mail giving away copies of his new album with the paper. What a total and utter twat!

I think you should all stop criticising Trick man, OK hes a bit strong with what he says but hes got a point, homosexuality is almost being encouraged these days and like Trick says, everytime you turn on the TV theres gays there in your face. Im not homophobic but kids who dont know any better can get the wrong idea form shit like this and end up thinkin there gay when there not. I dont know why people want to pretend that being gay is 100% natural when its just not! The acceptance of it is probably too high and you can waste as much time as you want posting pro-gay insults as a respons to this. PEACE

Who would want to buy a Trick Trick album anyways? Dude definitely has issues.....I hope he get's jumped by a bunch of Homosexuals!!

Nov 13, 2008

I have no idea who this guy is, I wouldn't pay any amount of money for his album, and I'm straight. But I'm boycotting him anyway. What an asshole.

garyjive

Nov 13, 2008

first of all, the fellow is entitled to his own opinion, freedom of speech and all that...nah, fuck it, this guy is a fucking spunkbubble! what a way to shoot yourself in the foot!even if he feels that way, to come out and say it, especially when his record is coming out.... ah, what a fanny.oh, and what is it, with everyone insisting that homophobes are closet gays?Thats just pish!trick trick is gay like take that are gay....in other words, just pish!

Going by his song titles his music must address this "issue" with the intelligence of a 4 year old pre-school drop out.His album will tank hard, hope he gets dropped by his label and goes bankrupt.

EddyH

Nov 13, 2008

He doesn't need to worry, because I'm not planning on buying his music anyway. What a wanker.

baronsaladback

Nov 13, 2008

Whatever the sexual orientation, I'm guessing his record is bargain bin bound. It's 2008 and there are still half-wits like this ignorant, headline-hunting twat.Hip hop is always better when it's progressive, when it changes with the times and speaks to a variety of people. This guy is a waste of time but I'm glad there are smart, cool people who can call bullshit on this type of thing. Hopefully, he'll either go away or get gunned down in some ridiculous display of machismo.

psj3809

Nov 13, 2008

Yeah i'm also encouraged by the comments here. Sadly on that hip hop page it mentions theres comments below the article and theyre ridiculous. You can imagine the type of homophobic idiots who agree with this twat and their views.Hopefully this rapper wont last long.

boredncynical

Nov 13, 2008

oh dear.. the faggot dollar is a good dollar.. he should have gone for that. pink shirt and a new haircut and he'd be minted.p.s what a idiot for being a homophobic

ed2005

Nov 13, 2008

sonic_marley: your comments are homophobic. Go away and read the Daily Mail, this page is not for bigots. Genrally am encouraged that most NME.COM readers are condemnatory, there were a few posts on AllHipHop that were appalling.

rubbersoul7

Nov 13, 2008

What an absolute loser. I've just had a quick look over on allhiphop.com and it seems that most people on there are fucking losers too. The majority of comments seem to agree with him! Why are most rap fans homophobic twats?
