The Enemy to launch Shockwaves NME Awards with one-off gig

The Enemy are make a rare step outside the studio to help launch the 2009 Shockwaves NME Awards.

The Coventry trio have been working on their second album, but will pause from recording sessions to play a one-off set at the awards launch on November 26.

The party will take place in Brixton at the Prince pub, and will mark the start of voting ahead of next year's ceremony, which will be held on February 25 at Brixton Academy.

Entrance to the launch is strictly by invite, but NME.COM has 20 pairs of awards launch tickets to give away.
