Kanye West sued by Suge Knight

Rap mogul blames star for getting shot, losing earring

Rap mogul Marion 'Suge' Knight has filed a lawsuit against Kanye West over an incident that occurred at an MTV VMA pre-party West hosted in 2005.

The former Death Row Records boss alleges that West was responsible for allowing "an unknown person" to smuggle a gun past security at the The Shore Club in Miami and shoot Knight in the leg.

In the suit, Knight also blames West for the loss of a 15-carat diamond earring in the scuffle, which he claims was worth $135,000. He is seeking to recover the costs of "bullet wound-related expenses" and "damages for the loss of use and enjoyment of the earring," reports TMZ.

Knight, who recently filed for bankruptcy, filed the suit against West in US Bankruptcy Court in Los Angeles.

Here I was thinking Kanye would have been sued for subjecting humanity to his awful "music".

What was Kanye West doing working security at the venue? Oh wait, he wasn't? then surely it's not up to him to "let" someone smuggle a gun in? If all these rapper types want to keep shooting each other that's fine by me!
