There's more free material available through Amazon, too

Bruce Springsteen is set to offer free downloads of ‘My Lucky Day’ and ‘Born To Run’ via a selection of video games, including Xbox 360, PS3 and the Wii versions of ‘Guitar Hero: World Tour’, to celebrate the release of his new album ‘Working On A Dream’.

The downloads will be made available for free starting from the album's release date of January 27, going to February 4. After that they will be available for $2 each, says Billboard.

The third single from the album ‘Life Itself’ is currently available for free on amazon.com. It is the second track from the album that has been given away for free via Amazon. The single ‘Working On A Dream’ was made available as a free download via Springsteen's official website last November.

The new album is the fourth collaboration between Springsteen and producer/mixer Brendan O'Brien.

Should have charged. Artists are making more from guitar hero et al. royalties than they are from album sales (e.g. Aerosmith)
