Rolling Stones' Ronnie Wood for Jerry Lee Lewis album

The Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood has been contributing to Jerry Lee Lewis' forthcoming album, it has been revealed.

The Duke Spirit's Leila Moss has also recorded backing vocals for the album, which also features Neil Young bassist Ricky Rosas and Bob Dylan's drummer Jim Keltner, reports BBC 6music.

Jerry Lee Lewis and his musical collective have been recording the album in Memphis.

Moss explained, "Ronnie Wood was playing too, and having come to our recent Los Angeles show, he'd said, 'What about that Leila from The Duke Spirit, is she still on tour over here?'

"So I went on this crazy last minute dash via three cities and got to the studio in Memphis. Mental. Legends. Jerry Lee – still got it. It was so ace I just had to tell because I'm so excited."
