Ozzfest 2009 cancelled

Ozzy wants more time to work on his new album

Ozzy Osbourne
Fresh from the news that poor ticket sales forced the cancellation of Miami’s Langerado festival, it has been revealed that this year’s Ozzfest has also been cancelled.

Instead of citing recession-based reasons for the cancellation, Ozzy Osbourrne said that he has decided to spend more time working on his 10th album.

Ozzfest has undergone many changes to stay afloat in the past few years, becoming a free event in 2007 and scaling back to a one-day event in 2008.

A variety TV show ‘Osbournes: Reloaded’ is set to premiere on Fox this spring. According to rollingstone.com , Ozzfest will return next year.
