Rihanna releases statement regarding Chris Brown
Authorities have asked her not to comment on alleged attack
Just hours after pictures of a bruised and beaten Rihanna appeared online, the singer’s representatives have released a statement regarding the alleged attack by her boyfriend Chris Brown almost two weeks ago.
The statement reads:
“At the request of the authorities, Rihanna is not commenting about the incident involving Chris Brown. She wants to assure her fans that she remains strong, is doing well, and deeply appreciates the outpouring of support she has received during this difficult time.”
As previously reported, the singer has been helping police with their enquiries after Brown allegedly beat her up during an argument in Los Angeles in the early hours of February 8.
The incident resulted in both singers canceling their Grammy appearances that night. Brown has since expressed his regret about “what transpired” that night, while Rihanna did not comment until today (February 20).
