Wilco reveal new album release date
They also announce spring US tour
The band will kick off the jaunt in Milwaukee on April 14 and play dates in cities including Athens, and Knoxville, Tennessee before wrapping things up in New Orleans on April 25.
The band will then head to Spain for several shows before returning to the US in June to perform at the Bonnaroo Festival in Tennessee and Detroit Lake's 10,000 Lakes Festival in July.
In a statement in their fan newsletter, the band also said they are "making major progress on the upcoming soon-to-be-titled LP. They've been hunkered down in the loft with Jim Scott and are just about ready to start mixing. We've got it on the calendar for release in June."
The band added that fans should keep an eye on Wilco's website for additional updates on the new album over the next few weeks.
Meanwhile, Wilco frontman Jeff Tweedy will play three solo shows at the end of March.
