PJ Harvey blew away the cobwebs in readiness for her V98 appearances on the NME Stage with a secret show at Bridport Arts Centre on Monday, August 3.
The extremely low-key show (pictured) - before only 200 people - was the first with her band since 1995. Although she has performed with both John Parrish and Nick Cave in the interim, the Bridport show was the first under her own name for three years.
During the two-hour set, she previewed songs from her forthcoming album as well as older material spanning her five-album career.
PJ Harvey makes her return to the big stages with early evening performances on the V98 NME Stage in Leeds on Saturday, August 22, and at Chelmsford the next day.
