Bob Dylan's neighbours say his port-a-loo is making them ill
Malibu residents complain about toilet on his property

Bob Dylan is making himself unpopular among his Malibu neighbours thanks to an odour emanating from a portable toilet on his property.
Residents in his neighbourhood are complaining that sea breezes blow nasty smells from a loo, which is used by employees of Dylan’s, including his security guards.
Cindy Emminger, whose house is directly behind the toilet, says that the smell has made both her and her eight-year-old son ill because they are both sensitive to chemicals and have allergies.
Emminger and her husband told the LA Times that they even went as far as installing five industrial sized fans to blow the smell back at Dylan, but it didn’t work.
"It's a scandal -- 'Mr. Civil Rights' is killing our civil rights," Mr. Emminger told the paper.
According to the report, when Dylan applied for permission to install the loo in 1989, safety inspectors found it was not handicap-accessible. Dylan then said in writing he would not hire any disabled persons who would need to use it.
The toilet is currently under investigation by Malibu officials.
