50 Cent dropped from Sylvester Stallone film

The rap star proves 'Expendable'

50 Cent dropped from Sylvester Stallone film

50 Cent has been dropped from the cast of the forthcoming action film, 'The Expendables'.

The rap star was going to step in to replace actor Forest Whitaker as a mercenary on a mission to overthrow a South American dictator, acting alongside Mickey Rourke, Dolph Lundgren and Jet Li in the Sylvester Stallone-directed film.

However, he was let go by the former 'Rocky' star for undisclosed reasons. There is much speculation that Stallone made the decision to cut 50 Cent, whose real name is Curtis Jackson, after several bloggers expressed their disapproval at his casting, calling him a terrible actor and a "pop culture joke", according to the Los Angeles Times.
