Lil' Wayne loses bid to block documentary
'The Carter' film will be released against his wishes
A judge has refused a bid by Lil’ Wayne to control the content of documentary about him.
Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Michael S. Mink denied Wayne's request for a preliminary injunction against QD3 Enertainment’s documentary ‘The Carter’.
The film was an official selection at Sundance, reports Variety, and now QD3 can go ahead and look for distribution of the movie.
QD3 head Quincy Jones III said that he was pleased with the ruling and that the film was “incredibly well received at Sundance, and showcases Lil Wayne's extraordinary talent."
