Green Day to perform free MySpace show

The intimate gig will be broadcast online

Green Day have announced that they will give a free concert for 300 fans in New York a few days after the release of their new album, 21st Century Breakdown.

The band are set to perform at Webster Hall on May 19. Fans will have the chance to win tickets by responding to a series of blogs and bulletins on Myspace.com/thelist.

For those who aren't able to make it to the show, it will be broadcast online shortly afterwards via MySpace Music.

A number of tickets will also be sold to the public beginning on Saturday (May 9). For additional details, visit Myspace.com/thelist.

The California rockers are set to release '21st Century Breakdown' on May 15.
