Muse announce new UK and Irish arena dates Muse Tickets

Matt Bellamy and co set for winter tour

Muse are set for a UK and Irish arena tour this winter, NME.COM can exclusively reveal.

Matt Bellamy and co will play seven arena dates in November, climaxing with two shows at the London O2 Arena on November 12 and 13 after shows in Sheffield, Liverpool, Dublin, Glasgow and Birmingham.

The band are expected to have released their forthcoming new album, 'The Resistance', in time for the shows. They are currently recording the album in Italy.

"We are coming up with a different and exciting stage set and production which will encompass our fans," the band told NME.COM, leading to speculation that the shows will be 'in the round', with fans surrounding the band on a centre stage.

As well as playing their own dates, Muse will support U2 at a series of shows this year.

Tickets for Muse's headline arena tour go on sale on Friday (June 5) at 9am (BST).

Muse will play:

Sheffield Arena (November 4)
Liverpool Echo Arena (5)
Dublin O2 Depot (6)
Glasgow SECC (9)
Birmingham NIA (10)
London 02 Arena (12, 13)

just want to say how disappointed i am that i couldnt get tickets(standing) for the Birmingham NIA on the 10th of Novemeber. Yes i could have got tickets and sat at the back of the arena! but on their last uk tour in 2006 i had a side view seat and wasnt very happy! Why have Muse and their associates only announced 1 date for Birmingham? last time they toured they had 3 or 4 dates at the NEC- a bigger arena. You would think their management/record company would have thought ahead a bit more given their credibility as a very popular live band and with nearly a million facebook users signed up as fans.Yes and the touts and blood suckers on ebay are selling tickets anything from £70-149 for a standing ticket! I do hope the band announce more dates for Birmingham.

At least they're playing Birmingham. There are no shows in Manchester or other major parts of the country. I'm sure there will be another leg that include a lot more shows than the one already offered.
