Renowned dance troupes have choreographed original works to the music of Arcade Fire, Spoon and The Rosebuds, among other Merge Records artists, which they will perform at a one-off event next month.
The dances will be premiered on July 18 at the Carolina Theatre in Durham, North Carolina as part of Merge Records’ week-long 20th anniversary celebration.
Original contemporary ballet, rhythm tap, and modern dance will be performed at the show, and The Rosebuds will play a live set.
The indie label, which is home to bands including Arcade Fire, Superchunk, Teenage Fanclub, Conor Oberst, Spoon, Buzzcocks and Dinosaur Jr, will also be hosting several live shows throughout the week, as previously reported.
