Dinosaur Jr, Butthole Surfers for Pop Montreal 2009
Lou Barlow, Chairlift are also on bill for festival
Dinosaur Jr, Butthole Surfers, and Lou Barlow And The Missingmen have all been announced to perform at the 2009 Pop Montreal Music Festival - set to take place between September 30 and October 4.
Chairlift, Matt And Kim and Fever Ray are also among the acts announced for the event which will also include a talk by the Dalai Lama at the Bell Centre on October 3.
Diamanda Galas, Os Mutantes, Roxanne Shante, Krautrock Faust, Buffy Sainte-Marie, Mono, Tobacco, Lemonade, Iris Dement, Loudon Wainwright III, Wovenhand, Destroyer, Teenage Jesus & the Jerks, Thee Oh Sees, The Intelligence, The Homosexuals, Bajofondo, tUnE-YaRdS, Zombie Disco Squad and Mike Simonetti are the other acts to have been announced so far.
The festival will feature workshops and talks by many of the acts who are scheduled to perform, as well as a film series and a craft fair.
