Kings Of Leon launch their own record label

The Followills plan to sign and develop new artists

Kings Of Leon have announced that they are launching their own record label.

The imprint is a joint venture with Los Angeles-based music publisher Bug Music, and will allow the Followills to sign and develop artists with the company.

The first album to be released on the new label will be 'Some Kind Of Salvation' by fellow Tennessee band The Features, who toured the UK and the US with Kings Of Leon in 2007.

“Caleb, Jared, Matthew and Nathan [Followill] are extraordinary tastemakers and constantly absorbing new sounds from all over the world,” said Bug Music CEO John Rudolph. “The honesty in their music is what draws them to genuine artists."

Further details of The Features' album release will be announced next week.
