Crystal Castles' Alice Glass 'punches security' at Sonar

Singer in fracas at Barcelona bash – video

Crystal Castles were involved in a fracas at the Sonar festival in Barcelona in the early hours of yesterday morning (June 21).

The band were playing in the SonarPub venue before getting involved in an onstage fight with security guards which allegedly saw singer Alice Glass throw a punch at a guard.

Watch video footage of the show by clicking below.

The set was plagued with sound problems, riling the singer and inducing her to attempt to throw the drumkit towards guards. They attempted to restrain her before bandmate Ethan Kath got involved.

"The sound guy tried to rugby tackle her [Glass] so Ethan jumped out and punched him!" explained Sonar-playing artist Little Boots via her Twitter page, Twitter.com/iamlittleboots.

She added later: "OK just spoke to Alice apparently it was her who socked him one."

she's a fuckin legend. she gives her all and sacrifices her body every single gig. respect is due for that. their album is almost unlistenable but watching them live is pretty much as good as it gets. excitement, drama, riots and chaos. its like a mosh pit and a rave rolled into one fuckin brilliant. security at gigs are almost always wankers anyway so keep smackin 'em alice!

Well, I guess they have got to do something to still get noticed. The music's never carried it. Even if half of it wasn't theirs in the first place.
