Florence And The Machine have declared their debut album represents the achievement of a lifetime – so far.

The band, led by Florence Welch, release their debut album, 'Lungs', on July 6, and speaking to NME.COM, the singer said she had used all the experience she has gathered to date on the record.

"This album feels like a culmination of 22 years of my life," declared Welch. "A scrapbook of events, things I've seen, people I have met, dreams and nightmares, and now seems like the right time to release it into the world. If it was up to me I would never finish it, but I have to let this one go now so I can start another scrapbook."

A limited-edition signed version of 'Lungs' featuring a six-track bonus CD is available to NME.COM users.
