Fleet Foxes 'terrified' by huge Glastonbury crowds Fleet Foxes Tickets
Band also debut new songs during Pyramid Stage set
Fleet Foxes debuted two new songs at their Glastonbury performance this afternoon (June 26), playing to a huge crowd of fans in the afternoon sunshine.
Before starting the band's set, Robin Pecknold joked that he was nervous about the huge crowd who had turned out to see the band’s Pyramid Stage performance.
"It's a pleasure to be terrified by you all!" he said to the mass audience.
Pecknold was in a jokey mood throughout the gig, at one point speaking to the crowd in a west country accent, before launching into an impromptu burst of George Michael's 'Freedom '90'.
Back-to-back performances of fan favourites 'White Winter Hymnal' and 'Ragged Wood' sent the crowd into raptures, with many singing along word-for-word.
'Oliver James', meanwhile, had the majority of the crowd clapping along.
The two new songs debuted by Fleet Foxes at the gig showcased two aspects of the band – with the first a gentle strum with harmonies, and the second a raunchier, rockier affair.
Before playing final song ‘Blue Ridge Mountains’, Pecknold also bigged up Neil Young and Fairport Convention - both of whom are also on the Glastonbury bill - calling the acts "awesome".
Fleet Foxes played:
'Sun Giant'
'Drops In The River'
'English House'
'White Winter Hymnal'
'Ragged Wood'
'Your Protector'
'Oliver James'
