En Vogue make live return at Essence Fest
Original members take the stage in New Orleans
En Vogue returned to the live arena last night (July 5) with a slot at the Essence Festival in New Orleans.
The original lineup of the vocal girl group - Cindy Herron-Bragg, Terry Ellis, Dawn Robinson and Maxine Jones - were reunited at the Superdome, performing a string of hits including ‘Free Your Mind’, ‘My Lovin' (You're Never Gonna Get It)’ and ‘Don't Let Go (Love)’ .
The band hit the charts almost 20 years ago, and went on to sell over 20 million albums.
According to the Associated Press, the foursome are working on new material and are also considering a reality TV show.
"We're just excited to be together again," Robinson said. "It's like we never missed a beat. It feels normal again."
The group also paid tribute to the late Michael Jackson, with Ellis saying that he is “the reason why we stand here together".
Beyonce, Lionel Richie and Al Green also performed at the festival, which ran for three nights over the weekend.
