Killers 'graduate' to headline T In The Park - video
Brandon Flowers and co close second night of Scottish bash
The Killers closed the second night of musical action at T In The Park tonight (July 11), completing what the frontman described as a "musical graduation" at the Scottish bash.
At the end of the Las Vegas band's Main Stage set the frontman made a touching speech to the Scottish crowd, noting their roots in playing the UK toilet circuit.
"This is a big graduation for us," he said of the slot the band also filled at the bash in 2007. "We started out at (Glasgow venue) King Tut's (Wha Wah Hut) and you've been with us all the way. So thank you for coming with us."

Earlier in the show the singer, sporting a feather-adorned jacket, spent the first part of the set cascading around the front of the stage before settling at a piano to play 'Smile Like You Mean It' following their customary cover of Joy Division's 'Shadowplay'.
"We're gonna pick it up a little bit, are you ready?" Flowers asked shortly before introducing 'Spaceman'. "Are you ready?!"
Flowers took to the piano again later in the set to play 'Sam's Town', while the projected backdrop displayed an enormous motel-style "Welcome" sign behind him.
Later in the set the ante was upped when the crowd recognised the opening guitar riff of 'Mr Brightside', responding with a huge spontaneous cheer, with many then singing along to every word of the song.
The crowd participation continued into the next song, 'All The Things That I've Done'. The crowd began singing the famous, "I've got soul but I'm not a soldier" refrain long before the actual lyric arrived, teeing up another huge singalong.
After the song ended the band headed off stage before returning for a three-song encore comprising 'Bones', 'Jenny Was A Friend Of Mine' and 'When You Were Young'.
"Did you miss us?" Flowers before launching into 'Bones'. "We missed you too," he said, responding to cheers of approval. "That's why we're back," he said, before completing the encore and leaving the stage to huge cheers.
