Bloc Party bring the hits to T In The Park

...and there's an incident with a banana, mid-set

Bloc Party bring the hits to T In The Park
Bloc Party today (July 12) played a hit-packed set on T In The Park’s Main Stage, packed with singles and sing-along fan-favourites.

Frontman Kele Okereke seemed in buoyant mood, dancing throughout the set and even mock-jousting with one of his roadies when he tried to rearrange his mic stand.

The band opened with 'So Here We Are' from their much-acclaimed 2005 debut album 'Silent Alarm', and went on to play 'This Modern Love', 'Helicopter', 'Positive Tension' and 'Banquet' from said record.

With the majority of the set drawn from songs familiar to the large crowd, closer 'Flux' prompted the biggest response.

However, just before playing 'The Prayer', upon noting a flag in the crowd saying, 'Show us your dong, Matt Tong', drummer Tong walked to the front of the stage, pulled a banana from the crotch of his short shorts and threw it into the audience. The song then continued as normal, but with Okereke giggling his way though the intro.
