The Who set for Rock Band game?

Roger Daltrey hints they might follow in The Beatles' footsteps

The Who set for Rock Band game?

The Who could be the next band to have their own 'Rock Band' game.

In a recent interview, singer Roger Daltrey has claimed that The Who are set to team up with 'Rock Band' for a new game at some point in 2010.

"The game, yeah, yeah, they're going to be doing a Who one next year. There is one planned," the singer told Mass Live. "[The idea] is fabulous. Anything that gets non-musical people interested in music is wonderful. In my opinion, music is our last true great freedom. They can burn our books, they can burn our paintings, but they can't stop us singing and making music."

However, a spokesperson for 'Rock Band' creators Harmonix has denied that anything concrete has been agreed with The Who. "We're working closely with The Who on what's next, but don't have anything new to announce at this time," the spokesperson told EW.

The Who aren't the only band interested in having their own 'Rock Band' game, with U2 earlier this month expressing an interest in doing their own version.
