Bryan Ferry and Lionel Ritchie collaborator Mark Smith found dead
Bassist was found at his Battersea home last night (November 2)
Mark Smith, one of the UK's leading bass players, was found dead yesterday (November 2).
Smith, a member of leading jazz funk band Kokomo, also played with the likes of Bryan Ferry, The Waterboys, Roxy Music and Lionel Ritchie during his career.
The bassist had been due to play a show at the 606 Club in Chelsea – however, when he failed to show his bandmates went to his Battersea house and discovered his body.
A cause of death is yet to be established.
