Want to work at NME - web developer needed
NME is looking for a talented Web Developer to join our team to work on NME.COM and a host of other IPC Media titles.

The successful candidate will be primarily be working on developing and maintaining sites including NME.COM, Uncut.co.uk, Nuts.co.uk and Mousebreaker.com.

This role will suit an ambitious, object-oriented aware developer with a natural flair for problem solving and creativity, who is looking to join an innovative company with a great team spirit and vibrant working environment. The successful candidate will have a minimum of two years commercial experience working in an agile environment, building consumer facing websites and the following skills:

Good working knowledge of PHP design patterns and object-oriented programming and how they fit into the web development cycle
Good working knowledge of front-end development based on (X)HTML/CSS and jQuery
Experience of MySQL 5 database design and SQL
Experience of Zend Framework
Experience of version control systems such as SVN or GIT

It is also desirable to have followinng experience:

Development of High Profile Websites
Experience of using Content Delivery Networks such as Akamai
Experience with Automated/Unit Testing and Continuous Integration environments
Experience with Drupal 6
Experience using *nix command line
Knowledge of MySQL Query Optimisation
