Notorious BIG's murder investigation re-opened by LAPD
Detectives in Los Angeles have re-opened the murder investigation into the death of Notorious BIG.

The rapper, real name Christopher Wallace, was shot and killed in 1997 after attending the Soul Train Music Awards.

According to CNN the murder case, which has never been solved, has been "reinvigorated" by the release of new information. The details of this new information have not been publicly revealed.

It is now being looked at by a team made up of members of the Los Angeles Police Department, Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office and the FBI.

In the years since Wallace's death, there has been intense speculation that the murder was an act of revenge for the death of Tupac Shakur, who was killed six months earlier in Las Vegas. His murder case has also never been solved.
