The Joy Formidable will return next year with a series of pop-up gigs.

The band, who are currently recording their next album in the US, have teamed up with Clarks Originals to perform a string of intimate shows across the UK. The shows will take place in London, Manchester and Bristol, at venues which will be announced 48 hours before they take place.

Fans will be able to enter a ballot to win one of 150 tickets available for each show, with a small number of extra ones available on the day, to add to the 'guerilla' style of gigging. A selection of 'super fans' will be invited to report on the shows through blogs, podcasts and videos.

Frontwoman Ritzy Bryan said: "We've just played our last UK show for 2011 and we’re currently supporting the Foo Fighters tour in the US with a month of headline dates in December. The Originals Live tour in February with Clarks Originals will mark our return to home soil, this is where it all started for us, so we’ll be looking forward to seeing our UK audiences again."

Further details will be announced in the coming weeks. You can watch the video for 'Cradle' at the top of the page.
