Mark Stewart of post-punk pioneers The Pop Group will also perform at the festival, which takes place in East London's Shoreditch Park on September 1.

DJs from Rough Trade, Old Blue Last and Loud and Quiet are scheduled to appear at the event too.

The 1234 Festival was founded in 2007 and aims to provide "a showcase for raw innovative talent". Previous events have witnessed performances by artists as diverse as Florence And The Machine, Toddla T and New Order's Peter Hook.

Early bird tickets priced at £15 are available from the 1234 Festival Facebook page.
