Introducing the NME app on Spotify

A new way to enjoy our music recommendations and playlists

Introducing the NME app on Spotify
NME has teamed up with Spotify to create a music recommendation app.

The NME Spotify app, which can be found in the Spotify App Finder within the Spotify client, enables users to read interviews with our favourite new bands, check out the best new albums/tracks with the 'NME Recommends' stamp of approval, and stream our curated playlists - all without leaving Spotify.

Try the NME Spotify app now to enjoy features on the likes of Savages and Wild Belle, and playlists such as the 100 Best Tracks Of NME's Lifetime. You'll also find our pick of the best music releases of the year so far.

Luke Lewis, Editor of NME.COM, said:

We’re incredibly excited about our shiny new Spotify app. We want passionate music fans to access NME wherever they are – so it’s fantastic that people can enjoy our new band recommendations, reviews and playlists right there within Spotify. It’s a perfect way to discover new music.

NME's publisher Tracy Cheesman added: “At NME, we’re continually striving to make our services more innovative, more powerful and more usable. This app is a great example of that and Spotify is the perfect place to share our content.”

Meanwhile, Spotify's Owen Smith said: “Spotify apps are exciting music experiences that curate Spotify's huge catalogue of songs in innovative and interesting ways. As one of the most respected editorial voices in the world the new NME app will help music lovers all over the world to enjoy and discover new music, and share it with their friends. “

The launch of the NME Spotify app coincides with a new look for NME.COM/newmusic. The section has been redesigned to make it easier than ever for users to discover the best new artists every day.
