Mike Love and Bruce Johnston line up four UK dates...

SURFIN' UK!

THE BEACH BOYS are to play a short UK tour this summer, despite only featuring one original member, NME.COM can exclusively reveal.

Mike Love, who co-wrote such sunshine anthems as 'Good Vibrations' with band leader Brian Wilson, has licensed the Beach Boys' name and lines up alongside Bruce Johnston, who joined the band in the '70s as a touring replacement for Wilson.

The rest of the band is made up of session musicians. They play:
Edinburgh Castle (July 19)
Warwick Castle (20)
Liverpool Kings Dock (21)
London Hyde Park (22)

Support comes from Radio 1 faves Status Quo. Tickets go on sale this weekend for the regional shows and on Monday for Hyde Park, priced at £35 and £45 respectively. To buy tickets for the dates, click here...[/url]
