Yeah Yeah Yeahs' Karen O has recorded a cover of 'I Shot The Sherriff' by Bob Marley. Scroll down to listen now.

The cover sees Karen O team up with Sam Spiegel of NASA for a track used in a new advert for wireless speaker manufacturer's SONOS first aired during last night's Grammy Awards transmission. The 1973 original is given a dance twist by the pair, who previously collaborated on NASA's 2009 album 'The Spirit Of Apollo'.

Meanwhile, Karen O recently spoke about her Oscar nomination for the first time. The singer received a nod from the Academy Awards for 'The Moon Song', which she wrote for Spike Jonze's 'Her'. She is joined on the list of nominees for this year's Oscars by fellow musical acts U2 and Pharrell Williams.

Speaking about the nomination, Karen O said: "Holy smokes. I had zero clue! To say this was unexpected is an understatement." She added: "It's wild because 'The Moon Song' was written and recorded in the most humble of circumstances; at my dining room table, a few paces away from the couch [where] I read the script for 'Her' for the first time."

The Academy Awards take place on March 1.
