DMX CAN'T BRING 'DEPRESSION' TO NYC
"Security reasons" mean the star can't bring his free Hoodstock extravaganza to the troubled city...
Rapper DMX has been banned from bringing his HOODSTOCK show to NEW YORK due to "security reasons."
The multi-million hiphop star has been on the tour promoting new album 'The Great Depression' since October 12. At each stop on the tour he has performed a free outdoor concert for winners of local radio station competitions, www.sonicnet.comreports. However, it now appears that the New York native will not be able to play his hometown as authorities appear worried about guaranteeing the safety of a large crowd in the wake of the September 11 attacks.
DMX will play in Philadelphia tomorrow (October 26) joiningPuff Daddy, Fabolous, Busta Rhymes, Bubba Sparxxx,/strong>, Mr Cheeks, Noreaga and ,strong>Jadakiss on a bill sponsored by radio station Power 99.
