Noah And The Whale frontman Charlie Fink has revealed that the band have eight songs "and a verse" written for their next album.

The band, who released their third album, 'Last Night On Earth', last year, made the statement yesterday (June 9) at the Parklife Weekender in Manchester, via BBC 6music, where they performed alongside Chic, Kelis and The Flaming Lips on the two-day long festival's Main Stage. The event continues today in Platt Fields Park with sets from Dizzee Rascal, Labrinth and De La Soul.

Noah And The Whale and The Vaccines co-headline an Eden Sessions gig in Cornwall next month.

The bands will play the Eden Project venue on July 11. They join Blink-182, Example, Frank Turner and Plan B in playing the Eden Sessions, with the pop-punk trio headlining the event on July 8, the 'Kickstarts' rapper playing on June 30, Turner playing on July 1 and the 'Strickland Banks' man playing a show on July 6.

See Edensessions.com for more information about the run of shows.
