Noah & The Whale announce UK tour plans

Band to play live in April and May in support of new album 'Heart Of Nowhere'

Noah And The Whale have revealed details of a short UK tour kicking off in April.

The band will play a run of theatre shows between April 27 and May 23, including four performances at London's Palace Theatre. Other shows will take place in Bournemouth, Warwick, Manchester and the Hay On Wye Festival. Titled 'A Month Of Sundays', the London residency will see the band play the venue on April 28, May 5, May 12 and May 19.

The band's fourth studio LP will be titled 'Heart Of Nowhere' and is set for release on May 6. The album, which is their fourth effort in the last five years, was recorded in West London's British Grove Studios and will also be accompanied by a film of the same title, which will be directed by frontman Charlie Fink.

Speaking previously to NME about the album, Fink said that he and his bandmates had been keen to record live to tape after just two or three takes, giving the record more of a live and organic feel. "The last record was an album that was built in the studio. And that means you gravitate towards computers and perfection, and it's very easy to do that," he said. "So we decided we wanted to go against that, and sacrifice that technical perfection for emotional intensity. The thing about recording live is, you’ve got nowhere to hide. If the songs aren’t good enough, you’ll find out straight away."
