MISSION TO ALBANIA Noel Gallagher Tickets
Stars to launch mission to refugee camps in war torn Balkans...
Noel Gallagher, Stereophonics, Travis, Paul Weller and The Kinks' Ray Davies are set to travel to Albania to visit Kosovan refugees.
Paul Weller's sister Nicky, who staged the recent all-star benefit show for Kosovo at London's Kentish Town Forum (May 30), is organising the trip.
She told NME that the show, which raised more than '50,000 for the Kosova Aid charity, was such a success that all the artists involved had agreed a mission to Albania was a good idea.
Nicky said: "All the artists have been in touch saying what a brilliant gig it was and thanking us for letting them play.
"Everyone I spoke to said the trip was a great idea. We've now got to hold meetings to decide who wants to go."
At the Forum gig, Gallagher surprised fans by playing an acoustic version of The Verve's 'Bitter Sweet Symphony'.
He dedicated the song to Manchester City fans still celebrating victory over Gillingham at Wembley earlier in the day which secured their team's promotion to Division One.
