The Oasis star says they're 'up there with Primal Scream'
Noel Gallagher has declared Kasabian to be right "up there with and Primal Scream" following their stunning NME.COM 10th birthday team-up.
Speaking exclusively in this week's NME the Oasis leader, who put in a special guest appearance for hit single 'Club Foot' and 'The Doberman' at London's KOKO last week (September 12), said he thought the band were "gobby little fuckers" when they first surfaced.
However once Noel had seen them live he thought "they were the fucking business" and he now considers them to be among Britain's best.
"They’re up there with and The Primals," he explained. ‘Screamadelica’ is the definitive guitar dance record, it’s not even indie dance or any of that shit, and The Prodigy did it with ‘Breathe’. Kasabian are there now, and they’re making music which is unique."
The Oasis guitarist also revealed that because of both bands' hectic schedules, the NME.COM tenth birthday bash was the only night they were able to team up.
He added: "There was only one night when we were in town together...as luck would have it, it was the NME night, so we thought ‘Brilliant, let’s do it!’.”
